Take a dumpling pastry/wrapper and place a tablespoon of the chicken filling in the centre. Apply water on the edges and seal half of the dumpling, as shown
Then bring together the other two ends simultaneously together toward the centre
Secure all the edges well and keep the dumplings aside on a parchment line or flour dusted tray
Place the folded dumplings on parchment lined steamer rack. Heat the steamer with water and when it comes to a boil, keep the rack with the dumplings to steam
Steam for 15-18 minutes per batch and then remove. Serve your delicious and spicy basilchicken dumpling hot with chili chutney or any dip of choice. Enjoy!
Notes
Your dumplings are cooked when they don't feel sticky on touching. As far as the chicken filling is concerned, it will be cooked in 15 minutes since mince doesn't take long to cook
Make sure the dumplings aren't sticking to each other when you put them to steam
