Eggless chocolate mousse with berries

Eggless dark chocolate mousse

A rich, chocolaty sweet treat with frozen berries!

Ingredients
  

  • 100 grams dark chocolate roughly chopped
  • 200 grams heavy cream
  • 50 mililitres milk
  • 20 millilitres dark rum
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • frozen raspberries for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in a bowl, over a pan of simmering water
  • Boil the milk separately and then add the melted chocolate to it
  • Next add the dark rum into the chocolate mixture
  • Using a hand blender, beat the cream until soft peaks arise
  • Gently fold the whipped cream in the milk, chocolate and rum mix
  • Gently spoon this into small bowls or cups and refrigerate for at least an hour
  • Serve chilled with the frozen berries on top

Notes

  • Whipped cream can also be added on top of the mousse before serving
