Looks like this has been a week of sharing breakfast and brunch recipes on my blog! So, post my egg dosa and croissant sandwich recipes, here’s my Nutella French toast roll ups recipe for you. In fact, these incredibly tempting roll ups double up as an easy dessert too. Moreover, these French toast roll ups make for an incredible Valentine’s Day recipe, as well. After all, chocolate spread and strawberries very closely represent love and romance! To be fair, I shouldn’t really categorize them at all! You can make these easy peasy roll ups anytime and for any occasion that you feel is fit. You can make them in under 30 minutes and serve them warm drizzled with cinnamon powder and sugar. With easily available and simple ingredients at home, you will have an impressive recipe to serve!

These Nutella French toast roll ups with a crunchy, buttery and cinnamon-y crust and a Nutella-strawberries filling is truly a treat for yourself and your loved ones. This is going to make your breakfast extra special for sure! In fact, instead of strawberries, you could also fill these roll ups with Nutella and bananas. Even that’s a combination that tastes yum and is very popular too. This recipe is a great one to make when you have friends staying over and you want to serve them breakfast/brunch. They make for an amazing after school snack and a recipe that you can have for kids’ parties too. Equipment

  • Tawa (Indian skillet) or any skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 5 slices white sandwich bread
  • ½ cup Nutella
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 4-5 tbsp butter
  • â…™ tsp salt

To garnish

  • 2-3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder

Instructions
 

  • Trim the edges off the breads and flatten them out with the help of a rolling pin. Take a tablespoon or two of Nutella and spread it evenly on each slice
  • Place the strawberries on one end of the bread and roll it tightly until you reach the end. Press the end gently to secure the roll
  • In a bowl, break the egg and beat it with the salt. Use a pastry brush to apply the egg wash on each roll, all around
  • Melt the butter in your skillet, over medium heat, and fry the rolls until golden brown on all side. Remove on a serving platter
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon powder together and drizzle it over your Nutella French toast roll ups and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can replace strawberries with bananas or even use a combination of strawberries and bananas in the recipe
  • 1 cup = 250 millilitres
  • tbsp - tablespoon
  • tsp - teaspoon
