I am actually wondering, how come l do not have a chocolate cake recipe, already, on my blog? That’s because, I love anything and everything that has chocolate in it. Nonetheless, to make up for the delay, here is a very special recipe of the Swedish sticky chocolate cake (kladdkaka). This is a Swedish recipe and it is a delight for chocolate lovers. The texture of this cake, as the name suggests, is sticky and gooey inside with a crusty surface. You could say, much similar to a brownie. While the kladdkaka tastes great as is, but when paired with some ice cream or berries, it tastes incredible.

What is even better is that, it is a child’s play to bake this chocolate dessert. And that too, with just 6 ingredients. Sounds fun, right? Also, since the kladdkaka (sticky chocolate cake) is not supposed to be spongy, you do not need any baking powder or soda for this recipe. So, now you must be thinking, if the cake is supposed to have a dense, sticky texture, then how do we check for the doneness of it? And the answer to that is, after about 40 minutes of baking, when you press the centre of the kladdkaka, the crust should crack. When that happens, you’ve baked yourself a delectable sticky chocolate cake. 🙂

Easy recipe

This is such an easy chocolate cake recipe that, I usually bake it when I am going to have guests home for dinner. And I serve my Swedish sticky chocolate cake (kladdkaka) slightly warm, topped with a generous dollop of vanilla ice cream and chopped berries! And with that, I have a happy lot of friends and family, devouring their dessert. Additionally, you could bake these for any special occasion that’s around. In fact, since Christmas is almost here, this yummy, gooey slice of heaven could be your dessert too! However, doesn’t matter what occasion, but do give this delicious chocolate cake recipe a try. Being a chocolate lover, I totally recommend it. And I am sure this one will win you accolades!

If you are planning to make this yummy cake this festive season, do share your cake pictures with me. I’d love to see them. You can do so on Pinterest and Instagram, too. Alternately, you could also share your feedback in the comment section below, as well.
