These super cute chocolate cake Christmas trees make for a wonderful Holiday season food gift for loved ones and also a great snack for Christmas parties for kids!
I kickstarted my holiday season baking with kladdkaka a Swedish chocolate cake. Chocolate cake because it is my favorite and also much loved by my friends. So, as anticipated the first two got over the same day I’d baked them. Therefore, I decided I’d gift this delicious, brownie like cake to them for Christmas. However, since they’d already had it at mine I wanted the gifts to look different. That’s when I thought of making these chocolate cake Christmas trees. And when I gave these to friends who visited us home, their faces lit up with joy! The fact that these are cute and pretty stole their hearts and made them feel special. After all, handmade gifts have their own charm and warmth, don’t you feel?
Not only are these edible cake Christmas trees super pretty, they are a lot of fun to make, as well. Besides the cake that I baked, I’ve used sugar sprinkles, chocolate fingers and dark chocolate to decorate them. Basically, I’ve used cake decorating stuff that I had with me. You too could do the same, bake the chocolate cake and use all that you have at hand to make these trees. But yes, a sticky chocolate cake or dense brownies are the ones that would work much better than any sponge cake for the trees. Apart from that, decorating the trees is completely your creativity. These chocolate cake Christmas trees are so much joy to make that you could get your kids involved in the process, too. They will throughly enjoy it. Make these are share with your family and friends this festive season and spread the cheer! 🙂
