An impressive, delicious and fragrant lassi recipe that will quench your thirst in style!
While I have shared the recipe of mango and rose lassi recipe earlier, I thought the Punjabi rose lassi deserves it’s own spot as well. After all, not only is this yoghurt drink delicious and fragrant but is also has a pretty pink color. Therefore, this thirst quencher truly ticks all the boxes as far as a summer drink is concerned. Moreover, this lassi comes together with just a handful of ingredients. In fact, just three to be precise – yoghurt, rose syrup and water. I also love garnishing this sweet drink with slivered almonds, pistachios and dried rose petals. However, even if you serve your rose lassi as is you are going to love every bit of it.
To truly enjoy the rose lassi you’ve got to make it with full fat yoghurt. That’s how it is actually made. I do just that and then add chilled water to thin it down slightly. A lot of people also use milk instead of water as well. Now, I use store bought rose syrup to make my lassi. But if you can’t lay your hands on it, you could even use rose essence. To make my mango and rose lassi that’s what I have done. And to give it a pink color, I’ve added edible red color to it.
