These easy to make truffles are not just yum and pretty looking but come together with just a handful of ingredients too. These are a chocolate lover’s joy that make for a thoughtful Christmas food gift too
Chocolate truffles are, by far, one of the easiest and yummiest chocolate dessert/snack recipes that exist. This no cook recipe not just tastes great but looks pretty too! And the best part is that you can make it with just a handful of ingredients, as well. What more does one want when looking to make a fabulous recipe with chocolate? While there are many versions of making chocolate truffles, this one is mine, made with dark chocolate, ground almonds and flavored with cardamom powder. My spiced chocolate and almond truffles, therefore, fall in line with the flavors of the season. After all it is the season of spice and everything nice! Furthermore, these delicious chocolate treats are also refined sugar free. I have sweetened them with dates paste, so that I can keep popping them in my mouth guilt-free. 😉
Making the date paste is also very easy. You will need to soak pitted and roughly chopped dates in hot water and then grind them to a smooth paste. However, you could replace this with honey or maple syrup, too. And if you are alright with sugar, even condensed milk works wonderfully in this recipe. Now, in my spiced chocolate almond truffles I have also mixed in equal quantities of desiccated coconut. We, at home, love the combination of almonds and coconut and it also makes the truffles taste richer. And these two engulfed in dark chocolate, garnished with pistachios and rose petals, taste absolutely divine!

Festive food gifts
Like I said earlier, these chocolate truffles are not just a lovely snack, but they also make for much loved food gifts too. More so, during this festive season, just like my homemade hot chocolate pre-mix. You could place these spiced chocolate almond truffles in cup cake liners and then pack in gift boxes for your loved ones. I promise that, they are going to love it. After all, handmade and homemade gift have so much warmth and feelings attached to them. The very fact that you would have thought of them while making the truffles, would mean the world to your family and friends. So, for this Christmas this is a gifting idea you really could consider. In fact, even besides Christmas, you could treat your loved ones (and even yourself!) to these truffles whenever you please.
These chocolate almond truffles are a breeze to whip up and an absolute joy to eat. You can store these in air tight containers, in your refrigerator for about a week. However, let me assure you that they are not going to last that long! These truffles are so addictive that once you have them, you won’t be able to stop at one! My small batch recipe yields about 8 medium size truffles, which you could easily scale to make multiples of.
So, if you are going to make these delicious beauties sometime, do share your feedback with me. I’d love to see your food pictures if you share them with me on Instagram and Pinterest. On the other hand, you could also share your valuable feedback in the comment section below. I’d love yo hear from you. 🙂
